It was so nice to visit Fair Harbor again. We get to meet Sam's parents and hear about some improvements to Aunt Ida's house.
The presents for Christmas and Sam's birthday help us get to know Jason and Sam better as well as deepen their relationship.
The murder is a surprise, but then we find out more about him and I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. So the suspect list is very long! Sam investigates the people as well as the way it could have happened. That steadily eliminates people, but some late in the book information speeds things up. And even then there a couple twists.
The ending is very satisfying and the other new people that we meet are people that I want to meet again.
It is not over the top with Christmas, which I liked as I was reading it in January. Overall a great follow up to book 1.
