An impartial witness

Once again, if you like the Maisie Dobbs series, then I think you will also be a fan of Bess Crawford. This book was really good and broke a lot of the formulas in other mysteries I've read. I don't want to give too much away but I really like this series as well. So much so, I'm considering reading Todd's other mystery series about Inspector Ian Rutledge. High praise, indeed.
