Did this book take me 2.5 years to read?! Yes, it is true. I picked it up every now and again and would read a chapter. This book provides fantastic insight on what could now be a “historical” analysis of women's bodies, which in many ways remains very relevant. As an example, the book references legislation that affected women. Some details are outdated - such as the fact that lesbian women can now marry - but other inequalities highlighted remain true. This book shows how far we have come, but also how many issues of the 80s and 90s are eerily similar to current ones.
