Officially a big fan of Vera Brosgol. Anya's Ghost goes from awkward teen stuff to legitimately creepy to lessons learned in an admirably fluid manner. It's also a window into being a first generation Russian immigrant kid in America and/or the outsider. The illustration style is expressive, though I can't help being spoiled and wishing for full colour rather than single tone tint wash.
