Arrogant Devil

4.5 stars—This is the RS Grey that I know and love. After struggling with her last couple of books, I am happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It's a sweet, slow burn/enemies-to-lovers story, set in Texas with a grumpy farmer, a sassy grandma, and a strong heroine who flees her life of luxury and an emotionally abusive ex to end up living right in the middle of life on a ranch. Meredith was a great character with her own share of quirks but nothing over the top like I felt about the characters in The Fortunate Ones and TB&TB. Even though she is dealing with the aftermath of an abusive marriage, there are plenty of lighthearted and funny moments throughout the book that keep it light and easy to read.
