This is the first Aunt Dimity book I have read and it was so much fun! The premise of Lori and Aunt Dimity is different from a lot of others that I have read and I'm not sure how I feel about it. The stuff I loved: the mystery, the honest character assessment, the village, and the solution. The bad guy was very bad and got most of what was coming. I do think he should have gotten a little more punishment. The good guys are better than expected. I liked how Lori was honest with herself about her issues.
The strongest part of this book was the characters and their actions that show us who they really are. This made it feel like more than a cozy mystery.
