Blake Crystal is turning 50 and she has four daughters and a bad lover. Wait...got rid of the bad lover to hit on the very young bartender at the beginning of her birthday celebration. The problem is she has to compete with her very hot daughter Alexis, but she has her own problems with both of her lovers and any stray ones she happens to pick up along the way. Alexis also wants to know who her birth father is and demands answers from Blake. In the meantime, the young bartender is having his own problems with an ex, his best friend, and fighting off his own urges to resist or not resist the Crystal women.
Mary B. Morrison packs a lot in Baby, You're The Best, book one in “The Crystal Series”. Blake is a hot 50 dealing with the usual issues of 50 and she is not a perfect 50 and does not make excuses for it. Her daughters fight just as other kids fight even though they are adults. There are unexpected turns in the book, I will give a warning as there is a rape scene in the book. There is also some interesting sex scenes using props, but nothing too extreme. I enjoyed reading Morrison as she has imagination when it comes to plot twists and the sex scenes as she does not write the norm which is very refreshing. I do not know if I would read this in public as some of the sex scenes might have you squirming in your seat...or maybe you like that. (smile).
