the sequel is just unnecessary, and I found out there's a third book! God knows what could happen for 200 more pages. Still, good, cute love story.

Beneath the Beauty is the second book in the Beauty series. It picks up about 2 weeks after book one ends. In my review for book one I said I was looking forward to the character growth in the following books. In this book we get to know more about Erin and Blake on a more personal level. We get learn about their pasts and how it has made them who they are today. Usually when I read short stories I can't seem to get into the story because there just isn't enough for me to connect with but that's not the case here. I am completely hooked and I can't wait to start book 3.
I will say there was one part that kind of bothered me and that is when Erin tells Blake she wants to take it slow because of her trust issues. That's all well and good except for the fact that the whole series so far contradicts that statement and for some reason that really got on my nerves. Other than that and a few grammar mistakes I really enjoyed this book and it's definitely a step up from the first book.
