Lionel lives in an apartment in Paris. He eagerly looks forward to helping take care of bees with his Aunt Celine on a farm outside the city. Then his aunt calls with bad news: her bees can't find a diversity of plants and they are dying. Lionel has an idea to help.

I love several things about this story. Lionel is a child, but he is actively learning about caring for bees. He sees a problem and he is able to take action to help alleviate the problem. Lionel is able to get consensus within the community to take action. He brings the community in his apartments together to solve the problem.
