Short and sweet story about when you just have to stop running, not because the road is over but because you've come home and there's no need to go further.
Luther and Erick meet over the most mundane and inauspicious of circumstances: weak water pressure. Sometimes you can spin gold from straw. I liked how there was no insta anything, hot sex didn't reveal truths or solve answers. The time spent together and the communication, via text, calls or in person was what really cemented a closeness between MC. These two seemed like fairly authentic, hard working, blue collar guys and I liked that their jobs weren't romanticized but rather portrayed in a stark and realistic way.
My rating isn't higher because it is a short novella and things perhaps could've been further fleshed out and quite frankly though the story is Luther's and told from his POV I wanted to know more about Erick. We were tantalized with him being a former hockey player but no more about it and I'm a big hockey fan. Next time?
In brief this is an enjoyable story about finding yourself, coming out and finding love. Sweet.
