The one in which Mr 'I Can't Be With You' is somehow (surprise, surprise!) at the exact latitude and longitude to fuck.

Anyhoo.

MC 1 is 21 in the prologue and 24 for the rest of the book. Down bad for MC 2 who is 44. Keeps saying the older one is good and kind and honorable but there's a lot of telling and very little showing to back it up.

MC 2 is supposed to be this suave mature older guy who knows his own mind but does so much flip flopping about what he does or does not want, can or can not do, that it's really giving.....younger one was the mature one all along.

Otherwise not much angst. The grovel is meh, but then again so was the offense so I'll not go too hard on that.

Perfect for when you want to read but don't really have the energy to invest much thought into the book you're reading.

Bonus- maybe I'm getting used to Joel Leslie??? Idk. I didn't want to scrub my ears with bleach this time.
