3.5 stars–Brutal with lovely black and white art.

The premise is that only a handful of black people in the world have superpowers. And white people in fear have tried to control them. And now a big corporation is trying to manufacture superpowered white people. Juncture tries to keep other superpowered people safe by keeping knowledge of them quiet and isolating erratic people from the world. His opposite wants their people to fight back. And the story follows a black detective named Ellen and a young man named Jamal as they are thrown into this secret world.

There are some cool characters here, and I'd love it if we got to spend more time with them. Bass was one of my favorites. She incapacitates enemies by, basically, releasing heavy, awesome basslines from her mouth. The characters have the potential for so much awesome, and I want more.
