It's time to go back home.
In the years since Lindon left Sacred Valley he has attained power beyond anything his family thought possible. Now he'll have to put those powers to the test because a Dreadgod is on its way.
Lindon and his allies set out to evacuate the valley before the arrival of the Wandering Titan but their sacred arts are weakened by an ancient curse. They'll have to persuade the squabbling inhabitants of Sacred Valley to leave behind their home and set off into the outside world.
But it has been a long time since Lindon left and more has changed than he realized.
He has always sought power to save his family...but now he might be too late.

The return to Sacred Valley was something I was looking forward to ever since book 1 and I honestly didn't expect it to come to fruition so soon. A bit scattered in places but incredibly entertaining as usual.
This book is probably the best of the series thus far. Lindon has come full circle since Unsouled and resolves the very initial purpose of his journey. Now, he looks to take on nee challenges and grow beyond the shackles of the past.
Another week, another book in the Cradle, now I have finally caught up with the most famous series in Amazon's best books............
This one was a lesson in humanity, no matter how good you have become, how changed, people will never revise their thoughts of you, a lot will judge you with their first impressions!!!!
Lindon's path was supposed to culminate with his advancement in the sacred arts to protect or stave off the attack of a massive and powerful creature(now we know it as a Dreadgod), having reached this moment, to fully realized, it was not enough, no matter the road he had to take, it still fell short, on top of that, that single factor to fully evacuate/save the people of Sacred Valley : TRUST, was again withheld against him, he even had 3 of the Uncrowned challengers with him, and they still were not enough..............
This particular book taught us the inevitability of human will, no matter the danger, no matter that your heart and brain is screaming at you, as long as your first impression is negative, humans as a rule will never believe until it is too late!!!!
The drama of trying to convince all the people/factions/clans was both funny and infuriating, so many times, I felt leaving all this fools behind, but Mr. Wright just kept on squeezing and squeezing, in the end, it was all for naught, Lindon should have pulled all those people, no more wheedling, pleading, just plain strong-arm the whole population.
Still the dream lives on, we continue to marvel at the scope of this particular world and it's populace and their abilities, the celestial beings who are undergoing their own battles, and this is already book 9. Do we need more books even???
Book 10, and to all the questions I posed......YES, YES, YES!!!!! More!!!! MORE!!!! MORE!!!!!
