I don't love the illustrations, but I truly do like them in the end they won me over as adorable. For a debut picture book from [a:Rob Biddulph 4179678 Rob Biddulph https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-d9f6a4a5badfda0f69e70cc94d962125.png] I'm impressed and entertained. What I love is that there is so much here within these pages. There is texture all through out that brings the story beyond the page, but in addition to that there is so much more! There is rhythm and rhyme and counting. There are colors and climate with weather mentioned too. From habitats to animal personalities all these things are pointed to. There is fear and logic and invention as well as resourceful friendliness. There is humor and a lesson learned all within these pages. Lots of things may be discussed after reading this one. Or you can just read it and giggle. Thanks to HC for an ARC.
