my bookclub didn't want it because it sounded too gory. I really dug it, despite figuring out *who dunnit halfway through I still really wanted to know *why + how all the other pieces fit to together so good job Obregon! solid work. reminded me of the true crime work People who eat darkness - about a British girl who goes missing/murdered by a Japanese-korean fellow all how different Japanese police culture is. it is written by a British-Spanish author however so. grain of salt?
