Book of Knives

I am not completely sure what I just read. The marital tension was sort of there. The ‘who is behind this nonsense' was sort of there. The out of the way location was sort of there. The ‘fatal history that needs to be rectified' is sort of there. I guess overall I felt too much distance from the story, so I did t care enough about the people or the history or the location to really connect.
