We have also recently added the I Can Read! Level 2 edition of this book to our library shelves after a splurge on most of the Frances I Can Read! books by my preschooler's request. Though she is not yet reading on her own, Frances is a character she is requesting often. The sing song poems are in italics and the font text is very large. Bread and Jam for Frances is definitely a title that I remember and I think for my own picky eater it is a fun one to read as the same thing can get old after a while. I enjoy that instead of forcing her onto new things her parents arrange for her to want to break out of routine in her own time and I think it is a great example of how things might be. This one works well on a day when we also read [b:Green Eggs and Ham 23772 Green Eggs and Ham Dr. Seuss http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1327875972s/23772.jpg 86934] and discuss that just maybe she might like to try something different.
