Brother's Ruin

I know there's a lot of stories out there that deal with magical alternate versions of London, but the London of this novella is very definitely charming - and dangerous (which is part of the charm of it, imo). Charlotte's a sweetheart, if a little more sheltered than I strictly like in my heroines, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens to her in the next novella. My only nitpick with this is that the plot is too lean for my liking. I realise that there are essentially two, maybe three, plots happening in this story, but I wish there'd been a bit more to the mystery plot; like, I felt it was resolved a mite too quickly? IDK, I just wish there'd been more opportunity for certain characters to show off their stuff. Still, it's a fun read overall, and I'm going to have to pick up a copy of the next novella so I can see what happens next.
