What do you do when you think you have a vampire living in your house? Chester (a cat) and Harold (a dog) are determined to find out what this new pet really is. Since Bunnicula has arrived at their house, vegetables have been turning white during the night, and no one is sure why... no one except Chester of course. He has decided that the new bunny is a vampire and is sucking the color out of the vegetables at night. But in order to find out for sure, they must catch him in the act. Bunnicula is faster than they think, and leads them both on a wild goose chase more than once. Chester turns to books to find ways to get rid of the vampire, and Harold does his best to help his friend, at least when chocolate cupcakes are not being consumed upstairs.
Will they figure out the mystery before its to late??

This book was super cute and a fantastic read! Kids will enjoy this book from the beginning until the end! You will literally be hooked from page one, and laugh most of the way through the book.

Update I just finished reading this to three different elementary classes, and they thought it was “awesome,” “fun,” and “full of adventure.” Their one complaint was that they wanted to know more about Bunnicula, and his background, but they accepted the argument that our imaginations are better suited to fill in some of those details, so they are going to be thinking about that over their Christmas break, and let me know what they come up with!
