But Then I Came Back

I crazy loved this book, and believe me, I don't hand out rave reviews lightly. I had no idea this was a sequel and I don't care. Laure's voice is amazing, I was sucked in immediately and then the writing is just so profound. Eden is so complex, she's a genius, a twin, a friend, a diva, and so much more including broken. The parents are actual parents. The subplots had more to do with characters from the first book (I guess) and I couldn't wait to get back to Eden and Joe. I'm not one for romance, but this one felt so real. I was immediately taken back to the time in my youth when it was possible to make out for nine hours straight and only stop reluctantly. The relationship is just icing on the cake for the real story here: two coma patients. One is awake, and one is still under. But did Eden come back in one piece? I never knew what was going to happen next in this book so hurrah for originality!
