I came very close to not finishing this book. But by this point, I was already very invested in the characters. But the world building? It just wasn't for me.

In this third installment of the BZRK trilogy, things are even crazier than in the second. In the aftermath of the destruction of “the Doll Ship” the Armstrong Twins are set on revenge. Sadie - “Plath” - has been elevated to leader of the BZRK group after Vincent lost most of his sanity after one of his biots was destroyed.

And suddenly, we're introduced to a new player - Lystra Read - and a seemingly new game.

It was hard to keep up with. I couldn't tell who was who (though I did figure out the big reveal before it was revealed) or what was happening in some instances.

And the ending? Well it was disappointing, to say the least.

I like my books where the bad guy is the bad guy and the good guy is the good guy. There may be some shades of gray mixed in, but in this series it's so mixed up it's grayer than gray.
