This yummy little cookbook is very similar to Chef Q in Paris: The Fall Collection by Didier Quémener which I reviewed earlier this year.

This addition to this cookbook series focuses on WINTER ingredients and comfort foods. It has a nice little “SHOPPING LIST” at the start with things like Escarole, Belgian Endive, Sweet Potato, Cabbage...etc.

It is then divided into three parts. SOUPS – MAIN COURSES – DESSERTS & DRINKS. Each recipe starts with a photo, a little history about the recipe, the recipe itself, a “CHEERS” paragraph that suggests the best beverage to accompany the recipe, and a “DIDIER TIP” which suggests different ingredients to change up the recipes.

Some of the recipes featured in this book are...

– FRENCH ONION SOUP– ULTIMATE CHICKEN SOUP– TURKEY BREAST WITH NORMANDY CREAM SAUCE– BEER LAMB STEW– INTENSE CHOCOLATE CAKE– CHOCOLATE CAFÉ CRÉME

You also get two bonus chapters. One titled “WHICH TEA GOES WITH YOUR MACARONS” and “THE PERFECT VALENTINE'S DINNER”

If you are a foodie like me, this would make a great addition to your cookbook collection, Two thumbs up from yours truly.
