Children of the Salt Road

Catherine and Mark, an artist and an architect from New York, rent a place in Sicily, partly to get away from some unpleasantness at home and partly because it seems like an idyllic place for their work. Nothing is as it seems, however. While I felt somewhat frustrated at times that information about the “unpleasantness” at home was withheld–obviously Catherine and Mark know about it–I was still engrossed in the story of what happens to them in their idyllic village.
