This one came highly recommended but ultimately didn't really land with me. Aside from the last one the kills were really underwhelming for me. I never really got invested in the little romance which seemed undercooked to me, so the payoff wasn't really there at the end. Ultimately, I think I might just not be the right audience for this book so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
bloody fun with some speculative elements and a summer setting- exactly what i was looking for!
Was not as fun as I had expected. I didn't like the ritual storyline and the deaths were not as gruesome as I had hoped. There were also way too many characters to keep track of and the multiple POVs past and present didn't work for me. Tastes Like Candy was a much better and way more fun carnival slasher.
