City of Jasmine

I thought I would like this more than I did, especially after reading the prequel novella. The Big Misunderstanding went on way too long, leaving the heroine in the dark until the last 50 pages about the hero's true character and motivation. I did like the setting, sparkling dialogue, secondary characters (especially Aunt Dove) and adventures; I just wanted the heroine to have a clue a little sooner.
