This book, is a great book. I feel like all children from grade 3-9 should read this book because it talks about the past and when you grandparents were little.

❤️❤️ I loved this book! It was a quick read but covered so many tough topics. A fun adventure filled story that at times brought tears to my eyes. A perfect addition to any upper elementary or middle school library. A book I will be recommending to my students.
A very enjoyable read (good plot, solid pacing, believable characters) but I didn't enjoy this as much as Stone's other works. Its written in 3rd person (whereas her YA novels have all been 1st p.o.v.) and it felt strained to me.
This grandmother-grandson roadtrip is a really interesting premise, and it definitely kept me turning the pages! I'm still sort of chewing on the ending–there's a big reveal and then things seem to wind up too quickly to me, but nevertheless I think a lot of tweens will enjoy the mystery of it and learn a little bit about the Green Book. I think in a classroom or book club setting there would be MUCH to discuss here.
