5/5. I loved this book! It was a powerful story of love and activism in the civil rights era. We get to see the characters experience some of the tumultuous events during that time. The book has some historical inaccuracies, but that did not deter my enjoyment of the book. Anita and Jason were both likable MCs, and I found myself rooting for them throughout the book. The way they come together and realize that their difference in ideals is not a deterrent to their love is well written. I also enjoyed the inclusion of some historical images and links to historical speeches. It is a must-read!
