Ella Fields has done it again. I'm totally at a loss for words. I thought I knew what I was getting into with this book, but I didn't. I adored a second chance romance - but this? Sheesh! It broke my heart and, thankfully, slowly pieced it back together again.

Ella writes the best characters. The relationship between Felix and Ella was beautiful, real, and raw. I couldn't help but feel everything. Every heartache. Every cruel word. Every swoon. Every thing! Felix made me swoon, he made me want to kick him in the nads, and he made me swoon again. So much love for that man. He made mistakes and he owned them. But, no matter how much he tried, he couldn't stop loving his little doe. Maggie, goddamn, that girl...that woman. Steel in her veins, I tell ya. I loved her so damn much. What she went through in the book is heartbreaking. Her character development was astounding and this was very much her story, for me. I loved watching her grow from a naive girl, to a strong woman. Archie, be still my heart, cutest baby ever! I adored Jake and Warren, what they did for Maggie was amazing and I love them for it. I gotta say that I disliked her parents so much, but, her mother did come through in the end - but, I found it hard to care after what she let Maggie deal with alone. Sam, I hate her with everything in my being - she came across so lovely, but I knew she was dodgy. I hate being right, sheesh, why?
The chemistry between Maggie and Felix was there from the get-go and it never left. I adored their connection. It was sweet, and sexy, and everything you could possibly want in a book. The pet names they used just made it all the better ‘little doe' swoon.

I loved that we got to see Jared and later a little sneak at Jared and Vera's HEA, it was such a cute addition.

Ella writes books I like to read. She breaks me, and then she fixes me write up and I'm better for it. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself now I've read all her words. I need more!
