I loved Cryers Cross, so I expected to love Crash. I did not love it, but it had some things I did really, really like. Just like Jules, our hero, I present what I liked in list:
1. Jules makes lists, and some of them are very funny.
2. I loved Jule's voice.
3. Rowan and Try are great siblings.
4. I liked Jules family situation, and her hoarder father.
5. I thought the ending was pretty satisfying.
What drove me crazy:
1. A lot of repetition.
2. The plot stalls in in the middle of the book.
3. Jules never goes to the library to research her mental health (even after it is hinted she
needs to do that anyway for a school assignment).
4. Sawyer did not impress me at all.
In the end, more likes than dislikes. I did find myself counting the pages, which is a sure sign that a book is losing me. But, I continued to read and I am glad I did because it picked back up. I think this will be popular with YA readers (adult and teen), I just don't think it's a must read. I do hope Trey and Rowan have more to do in future books.
It passed the time. Am now going to have to read the next one to see if the writing gets better
