Crashing the Net

Mike's parents are a couple of bastards. At least his sister's a good sort - though it's a minor miracle that his parents managed to raise two worthwhile kids. Beyond that, Mike and Alexei are perfect for each other. My problem comes from the fact that there is NO plot to this story besides the hook-up. There's not even real character development.
