I read this book solely for my own entertainment and I was not disappointed. I adored the movie and the book is just as good- in different ways. This story entrances me and, while I really don't think it's very deep nor has valuable themes, it's a great, cute, and funny story for when you're in the mood to read something light.

Which, with my boyfriend freshly off to college, was exactly what I needed.

We meet so many different and amazing characters in this novel. Each of them are unique and quirky in their own way. While this book has several perspectives, I found myself enjoying each one so I wasn't annoyed when certain characters narrated certain chapters. The relationships in this novel are surprisingly complex for a light story. I understood each one and was able to keep up with all of the characters despite the amount of them.

Do I recommend Crazy Rich Asians? I certainly do. And I intend to see the movie at least one more time before it goes out of the theaters because damn. Read this book! I'll be reading it's sequel soon enough.
