Modesitt did not let me down. I enjoyed reading this tale of magic, military strategy, and growing up. If there had been more of a romantic connection I would have probably given it 5 stars (guess I will have to read the next one for that).
The illusions he made to what we (the reader) know Hamor with become was interesting. Like all of the Recluse books this was very morally thought provoking.
