I've never wanted a book to be televised before reading this book. It reads like a high budget VH1 Legends documentary. The oral history style of writing made this story immersive and thoroughly enjoyable. Secretly, I feel like the author totally has a thing for drummers because Warren is the greatest character. I love the distinct voices of each of the characters and foreshadowing of deaths by lack of voice throughout the story. I understand why this book won so many awards last year.
