Dances Long Forgotten

Sorry, didn't work for me at all. The MC is sweet but totally passive, and everything happens to him without him having much if any control. Everyone else in the book knows secrets, which he reacts to as they are revealed, again without able to do much about it but get in a snit. There is sort of a secondary historical romance that falls flat because one of the parties is manipulative and close to downright cruel, and the framing contemporary romance is so sketchy it's impossible to care.

The MC is a nice guy and deserves a better story.
