I had a few issues with this one. A small issue, Hayley was not very likable in this one. I have read others in this series and she was much more likable in others. So maybe this is a one off. Related to this point, my first big complaint, Gemma got so much bad advice. She really needed Hayley to stop and really talk with her. The whole situation could have been avoided of Hayley would her encouraged her to talk to Cameron at first instead of waiting until halfway through the book to tell her that.
The reverend part was disturbing. He was not just handsy. If a friend feels the need to go rescue you from a guy, then it is a big deal and should be dealt with that way. And his wife being portrayed as a shrew was ridiculous. Her husband was completely out of line. She had every right to act the way she did. Then they got a little counseling and it is okay? Um... no. This whole part of the book was really disappointing. It was glossed over instead of dealt with in a serious way.
Another small issue, the twin thing is was obvious and a bit awkward. I really liked Tracy and subbing in a twin to take over her spot was a little awkward.
With all that being said, the mystery was well constructed. The earliest hint was well hidden. So I was surprised when the big reveal happened. I liked the mystery and I like Hayley. I'm just glad this was not my first read in this series.
