Devil from Moscow

This one hurts, I am in between a 2 and 3 stars because this was not it. The beginning was absolutely perfection which is making me lead towards that 3. Nina is forcefully taken out of her school by her father to pay his extensive depths by serving drinks at a strip club. Little did she know, she would instead be raped (on page so please be careful) on a nightly basis until her knight and shining armor shows up. Vasily is the current Russian boss that runs half of the area and he takes her under his wing.

I adored the way Vasily was patient with Nina and her trauma. I love caretaking scenes and this definitely hit the mark. When you expect “Devil from Moscow” and get this man, you might be slightly disappointed. There was a good enough balance lovey dovey moments and him actually being this man they claim.

Also I heavily disliked the pacing. I mean heavily. By 50% we were past our trauma and saying I love you. The rest of the book could have been 50 pages max. If you want lots of smut this is the book for you, I ended um skimming the last 30% because every other chapter it felt like they were fucking.

Now I'm writing this and it's definitely a 2 stars.
