Dipped in Sunshine

3.5 stars. Cute follow-up to [b:Brushed With Love 60180408 Brushed With Love (Surfing the Waves #1) Fearne Hill https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1642852353l/60180408.SY75.jpg 94916846], featuring Ragnar “Eggy” Eggebraaten's best mate Fifty (the origin of his nickname is too amusing to spoil), and his youngest brother Otto. Fifty spent too many years smoking pot and agonizing over his unrequited love for Eggy, to the point where he is now a 29 year old virgin with performance anxiety. Otto's matter-of-fact attitude about both of those issues and his comfort level in doctors' offices from his own history of epilepsy eventually make him a perfect bed partner. But Fifty is sure he's just a fling to Otto, who is letting his gay flag fly for the first time. Not to mention the fact that Eggy will probably pull out his toenails one by one if he realizes that Fifty has slept with his baby brother.I'm not a fan of either the “best friend's sibling” or the “age gap” tropes, and Otto reads as a very young 19 at times. The other characters referring to him as “fluffball” don't help. But the humor, sweetness and raunchiness of the story won me over. If any more of Eggy and Otto's brothers decide to explore their queer potential, I'll be happy to read about their journeys.
