Dispatches from the Edge

I'm not sure how to describe how this memoir. Cooper goes into brutal detail about what he's seen with a distance  that he examines through the lens of those he's lost in his own life.

I think I liked this, and I think I found this so dark and so dry that I'm sure I won't read it again.
