WOW, has Christina done it again! Two-day read as I could not put it down and I've been in a terrible reading slump recently, until this book. Emma is a happily married wife, mother, and Doctor at her local hospital. Very much in love with her husband, Nate, a police detective, their relationship is so close and loving, it feels palpable. She is also a mother to a wonderful little boy, Josh, who, as you can imagine, is her world. But to what lengths will a mother go when her child's life is in danger? How far would she go to make sure her boy is safe and healthy? Imagine your own beautiful child is diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and your world crashed down around you... unable to afford the only treatments that may save his life.

Not only did this book touch on the sad and scary aspects of the current opioid epidemic, but the painful, understandable side as well. People suffering because they are in pain, finding themselves on that fine line of addiction and healthcare. All tragic, yet so very real today.

Emma takes an incredible chance with a risky and dangerous situation, entering the shady world of selling meds illegally - but all to save her son. But can she make it out unscathed? Who could after entering a world of drug dealing, surrounded by murder, and lies. Which in the end leaves us with only one question... how far would you go to save your child?
