This one was cute. Well written and well paced. The plot was engaging and kept me turning the pages. That said, the misunderstanding stretched out a bit too long for me. It was funny at first, but by 50% when it finally gets cleared up it had lost its charm. I didn't find it particularly angsty, and there was no OW/OM drama. The attraction between the main characters was quite quick, but the sex was slow in coming (50%). I didn't mind that overly much as both characters were very likable and had good on page chemistry. The sex scenes (when we do get to them) were suitably hot.
There was an excellent array of secondary characters. The couple from book one make an appearance and Jagger whom I still really don't like that much. I don't hate him as much as I did Dane (before his book) from the Single Dads Club series but lately; I am just really over the whole arrogant uber manwhore character in romance books and in this one we get glimpses of him whoring it up. BUT, these authors made me love Dane in the end, so I am holding out hope they can pull it off with Jagger as well. I also loved Teegan's BFF, and hopefully, we will see her in a book soon. Both the main characters in this one were very likable. I liked Leo. He was sweet. He was sexy. Not a manwhore (thankfully). Loved dogs. But I was a little let down by him at the end (more about that in a bit). Teegan I adored. She was sweet. She had a big heart. She had some issues, but I understood why she felt the way she felt. Because of that, I thought she unfairly shouldered all the blame for the BIG blow up, and it took away a bit of my fondness for Leo.
The major issue I had with this one was I just didn't love the way the big blow up and aftermath played out. I thought Leo's reaction at the restaurant was WAY overreaction and after that, he just didn't seem all that interested in fixing things. He never really owned his part in it and just sat around whining. And frankly had Teegan not put herself out there it felt like he would never have even tried to work things out. Which annoyed me to no end because I didn't think what she did in the first place was such a HUGE deal. He knew her issues with her Mom. Maybe a little kindness and understanding were in order. So yea, I was a little disappointed by Leo. I needed him to fight for Teegan and their relationship. Those issues aside it was still a delightful read and gets two solid thumbs up from yours truly.
