I don't think I have ever read a second chance romance, but I can say that I definitely enjoyed Don't Let The Music Die. At the same time, the beginning of this book gave me enemies to lovers vibes, which I'm always in for.
Don't Let The Music Die deals with so much important topics.
I really loved Matt. He is such a fun character, but at the same time he's dealing with his own insecurities, which were written down so beautifully by Boyle.
I also think Avery's anxiety is portrayed so well. It's hard to write it down the right way, but I think Boyle did a great job.
The “secret” Avery hid from Matt is one I guessed at around 50% of the book already, but I still doubted if I was right from time to time. It didn't bother me that I had “guessed” it long before.
I really loved Don't Let The Music Die, Boyle never seems to disappoint me.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
