After 1st Reading:Another excellent short novel from Janet Edwards. This story is an excellent follow-on from [b:Earth and Fire 26015567 Earth and Fire (Earth Girl #0.5) Janet Edwards https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1438366696l/26015567.SY75.jpg 45812716] and has Ms Edwards magic touch of characters you instantly engage with. My only complaint is that now I'm itching for the promised third story “Earth and Water”. Darn it [a:Janet Edwards 5415711 Janet Edwards https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1657263898p2/5415711.jpg]! Why do you have to be such an awesome author! ;-)After 2nd Reading: After rereading, and loving the story, I'm seriously hoping for “Earth and Water”After 3rd Reading: Rereading during the Lockdown. This is perfect material for this time, a positive story of people overcoming the odds, working together and achieving their goals. The fact that it involves an archaeological dig site is just the icing on the cake for me. As much as I'd still love a direct sequel to this story, I'm not complaining as the author just keeps churning out excellent stuff, so instead I'm moving straight on to the sort-of follow up short story [b:Year End 2788 35412684 Year End 2788 (Earth Girl) Janet Edwards https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/book/50x75-a91bf249278a81aabab721ef782c4a74.png 56785687].
