This is one of those books that keeps you reading late into the night, with your heart constantly twisting and aching for the characters and leaving you in a puddle of tears by the end. At least that is what is was for me. It was heartbreakingly perfect and has swiftly made its way to the top 3 of my all time favourite historical romances. Marianne and Philip's banter was perfect, I loved how they met and watching their story unfold. If I had to change anything, I wish Cecily had proven herself to be a bit more likeable so I understood Marianne's loyalty beyond her just being a sister. But other than that this book was perfect and I will treasure it and the love story within always.
