Another incredible read from JA Huss! LOVED this book! Her writing makes it so easy to get sucked in.. quick read for me as I just couldn't put it down!? Not at all what I expected, knowing this was a teacher/student taboo book yet it was done brilliantly! Shannon was one tough 18 year old, having dealt with more than most people do that age.. but she handles herself beautifully and knows how to be what she needs to be in order to make it. Mateo was just flat out hot, brilliant, exciting and extremely erotic.. and hey, I'm a sucker for hot, erotic Italian men.. especially with good Italian families ;-) Love this story.. and oh what a perfect ending!! Highly recommended!!

I enjoyed this one for the most part. I think the book would have been a lot better if Mateo's background had been much more fleshed out, and we had gotten some of the story from his POV. The ending was also rushed, with very little explanation given for the plethora of revelations the author dumps on us.

I am starting to see a pattern with this author. The stories are fantastic up until the “twists” or “revelations” (which always come super late into the book), and then we get a rushed ending with plotholes and questions that are never answered. It is like she takes great pains to write a fantastic story up until the “whoa” moment, then half-asses the rest of the book. Oh well, It is what it is I guess (lol).
