I received a free e-ARC of Ever After from Lerner Publishing on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed the art of this graphic novel a lot and the original concept was amazing. The art was colorful but also intense which I think was perfect for the story. The concept as I said was amazing but the execution of it kinda lost me. I don't necessarily think it was a problem with the storytelling but could have more to do with the translation. The circumstances of the zombie apocalypse was never really explained or the zombies themselves.

Some parts of the story surrounding the characters were also not really explained, especially the ending, which just made me confused. I think the pacing was also off because periods of time passed and there was nothing to signal how long it actually was and it really threw me off. The timeline just didn't sit right withe me. I enjoyed the story overall, but I was just confused on the ending and how the zombie apocalypse existed.
