“Light is love. Love is life.”
Holy moly. How do I put what I want to say about this into words?
I loved this book. I loved the whole series, but this book is definitely my favorite of them. This was a perfect ending to an already amazing series, and I enjoyed every twist and turn and I could never tell where the story was going next.
Archer's return was possibly my favorite moment of this book. He was my favorite character in the first book, so I'd been rooting for his return. I loved Biscuit and his hooman. The relationship between them was so adorable. And Killian... he became an entirely new person by the end of the book and I love it.
And “The ends justify the means” popped up five million times like YES I GET IT PROFESSOR MEANS THANK YOU PLEASE GO BACK TO YOUR CELL.
And then when Ambrosine showed up, and then EVERYONE ELSE SHOWED UP?? AVENGERS ENDGAME MOMENT??? The ending was so good that I made too many typos typing this.
The epilogue was perfect. Everyone “lives” AU but make it canon. Ten and Killian got their happily ever after. I would be begging for more books right now if I hadn't loved the ending so much.
Thank you, Gena Showalter, for writing a story where the Light always wins, life finds a way, and love always prevails.
