I love this series, it's so well done, so I don't know why I put off reading this for so long. It was very well written, and Meyer did such a good job establishing the backstory of the crazy Levana. Of course, I hated her throughout the first three books, but this story made that much more complicated. It's so hard to reconcile pitying her for her depressing childhood and hating her for how much she manipulates everyone around her. Meyer characterized her so well and this story was set up perfectly. I'm glad that I finally got around to reading it, even though it was totally depressing. I can't wait to read Winter later this year!
