Falling For The Farmer
Falling For The Farmer
This book fell short of my expectations in the Christian romance genre. The leads made excuses to rationalize their living in the same house, yet they were never convicted of this behavior (the rationalizing or the living together) by the Holy Spirit. Since there were no repercussions, it seems the message here is that it's okay to live together (platonically or otherwise) prior to marriage. That's a message I cannot support.
Something that was confusing to me was the inconsistency in the male lead's career choice. It was established early on that the man owned and ran a car-for-hire business. Later, though, it was a full-service wedding business, as they catered, served, and chauffeured.
One positive for me was that the female lead had to learn to not depend on other people to bail her out of tough situations. That's a message I can support.
I was not compensated for my honest review.
