First, I love Tara Lain books. I've read everything she's published except one and I'll get to that eventually. Even when I'm not too excited by the theme or place setting her characters always draw me in and make me fall in love with them. Saying all that, there was a problem for me with F.A.S.T. Balls. Jerry's voice just wasn't strong enough for me, every time the POV switched to him it was like my brain stuttered and had to remember what his personality was supposed to be. Maybe it was that Mick was such a strong personality that he overwhelmed Jerry for me, I don't know.
Otherwise, the story was good. I like the idea of redemption and second chances for those that choose to take them.
The problems I had with Jerry often took me out of the flow of the story, which is why this is a three star for me. If that had not been a problem the story and characters would make it a four.
