I'm not really sure what to say about this book. The writing was great. The pacing was fine. It was an easy read without a lot of drama. I mean it kept me turning the pages and held my interest.

It's just the whole scenario of the book didn't work for me. First, Bryce was a bit of a pussy in my opinion. Too worried about ruining his friendship with Hunter (the heroine's brother and his boss) to go after Kennedy. He just kisses her and then walks away for a YEAR. A year in which she figures Bryce choose his friendship with her brother over her so she moves on and gets involved with William.

Second, we spend 85% of the book with Kennedy involved with William and Bryce STILL being a pussy and making puppy dog eyes at her every chance he gets. The dude STANDS there when Kennedy's boyfriend asks her to marry him and STILL doesn't speak up. He just walks away. I was like WTF dude? Man the hell up!

Then we have an ending SO rushed it gave me whiplash. The “I Loves You's” were flying, and this couple has NEVER even been on a date. Two kisses and one sex scene do not make a lasting relationship. I honestly felt more of a connection between Kennedy and William than I did her and Bryce. Sure William was a bit of a spoiled douche and I kept waiting for us to find out something about him. The author drops hints that there is something more going on with his family, but NOTHING ever comes out. So ultimately I just sort of ended up feeling bad for the guy.

Like I said, I really am confused on how to rate this. So I am going to go with 3 Stars based on the writing and the fact that it kept me interested and turning the pages. Bryce the pussy gets negative stars, though! lol
